Blog, Writing

I believe that a person should never stop learning.  Today I spent my down time at the Ingham County Health Department listening to WordPress tutorials.  I freely admit to my own ignorance here.  Amongst some of the lectures from iTunes U, I learned about linking, placing images, searching for images that are usable under creative commons license, and categorizing your posts.  It was very interesting.  I have over 50 more of these various podcasts to listen to.  I’m hoping to use this blog more than a personal diary.

I also came across a friend’s blog today.  Brandon Sanders has created a blog for his gastronomic indulgences.  I look forward to reading more about his projects.

Larry Elmore's D&D art

Larry Elmore’s D&D art

This last week I called Larry Elmore, famous fantasy artist.  He is conducting a drawing class in Kentucky for three days.  He still had openings so I called and reserved my spot.  Three days I get to sit with one of my idols and learn from him.  I am so excited.  The class begins July 20th.  I think I’m going to travel to Mammoth cave the day later and  explore.  It should be a very fun week.  I am now preparing my supplies, and will be working on my art and blog.  I want to add photos and images of my art here.  Stay tuned.
